Plot issues..

If a person were converted into an ionized form without killing them and it left most of their structure intact, would it make sense for their clothes to fall off, burn off, or otherwise leave them naked? Running into issues with a drawing I'm doing because I think the answer is yes, however, having this character run around nude doesn't seem like it fits the story very well as it would seem fanservicey and take away from the plot with unintentional "plot( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)". Leaving some of the clothes on and having them be burning a little would be a decent compromise, however, if they are burning at all, they should burn right up. If said character is nude..ish, then comes the issue of the fact that  she'd be semi transparent and thus you'd see her organs to some degree. Do people REALLY wanna see that? Sheash even if I BS away the outer details of 'certain areas' ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°), There would still be all the internal crap. Grrrrrrr.
